Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Dibwangui
Dear Friends of the Mission,
The vacation season always ends under the beautiful gaze of Mary. The Immaculate Heart of Mary, whom we celebrate this month, is preparing to be reunited with her children very soon, on September 8, the Feast of the Nativity of Mary. The month of June was an opportunity to gather about fifty altar boys, those from Mouila joined by the group from Libreville. In July, the mission girls headed off to their camp and shared their smiles and voices in games, vigil songs, and hymns during Holy Mass. In August, there was a feast of August 15th and a pilgrimage to the Dibwangui mission, which has been dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes since 1940.

Preparations for the next school year call on painters, electricians, carpenters, and masons to welcome the new junior-year class, the last year before high school graduation.
The mission is preparing to sponsor around thirty children this year; we will need you!
Back-to-school projects involving the nursery for the little ones, the completion of the guesthouse, the stadium, and the restoration of the pontoon are on our minds... But let's not be afraid to be ambitious, because isn't wanting to be a saint also a great ambition?
Saint Jeanne de Chantal invites us not to doubt God too much or to look at ourselves too much. "Never look back on yourself. Look only at God and let Him do it, content to be entirely His in all your actions."
May her school and that of Saint Francis de Sales continue to grow in holiness throughout this new school year. May God bless us, especially under the maternal protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Girls Camp with a Visit to the Trinitarian Sisters
 The girls of the Mission had the opportunity to visit with a community of Trinitarian sisters to discuss religious life and vocations with them. While they were there, they spent time in adoration with the sisters and enjoyed games and recreation with them.    |      |

Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes in Dibwangui
The Mission made a pilgrimage to the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Dibwangui. The Mission discovered the beautiful legacy of the Missionary Fathers in the Ngounié Province. Mass was celebrated in the church, which was built in 1940. Then the pilgrims journeyed through the Gabonese forest, the Marian spring.    |      |
Interview with Canon Rouquayrol
This past June, on the Solemnity of Pentecost, Canon Rouquayrol visited the Institute's apostolate at Saint Joseph Shrine in Detroit. The visit was part of his American tour to build support for the Mission Saint Thérèse. While at the shrine, he celebrated a Solemn High Mass and gave a presentation on the Mission, after which he was interviewed by Ishmael, a member of our outreach team and editor of the Ad Petri Sedem substack. Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, thou who hast been rightly proclaimed the patroness of Catholic missions throughout the world, remember the burning desire which thou manifested here on earth to plant the cross of Christ on every shore and to preach the Gospel even until the end of the world. We ask thee, according to thy promise, to assist all priests and missionaries, especially the missionaries of the Institute of Christ the King, and the whole Church of God. Amen.
